Marketing pro-league experience :

Sneak Peek of the Amazing Discord Group

As I’m writing this I have completed my 3-months long, marketing pro-league 1.0 from Avalon Meta by Abhinav Arora which was previously called Beta Mentorship. I’m excited to share with you my thoughts about the pro-league. I’ll walk you through how it works, what I liked, and my experience going through the Marketing Pro-league 1.0

I’ll also answer the question most people want to know:

Is Marketing Pro-league 2.0 worth it?

Let’s jump in!

To know more about the curriculum you can check out the landing page Marketing Pro league 2.0

In my third year at university, I began my marketing journey in a rather unusual way. I was pursuing my BBA like any other guy in the college and was very reluctant to attend boring lectures. It was for the sake of attendance that I attended them. But, somewhere deep down in my heart, I had the desire to start my freelancing journey and learn marketing the practical way.

I was a complete noob in marketing and had no idea of how things turn out to be when you start your own agency or what skills are actually industry-relevant.

During that time I got exposed to terms, like Automation, Data-driven marketing, and a lot more which I had never heard before. It took me a lot of time to understand what they actually meant by going through Meta lectures on the app.

Abhinav’s courses on meta are super value bombs, and I always watch them to understand things better whenever I’m stuck or need some clarity of terms. Now, the question you might be getting is why join the pro-league when everything is available for free. To answer this, let’s set the premise right.

Knowledge without knowing the application of it will set you in an endless loop of content consumption and that’s what exactly happened with me.

I know the theory but now what.

-How do I apply my knowledge?

-How do I approach clients?

-How to work in teams?

And a lot more such questions.

To know the execution of the knowledge, you need a mentor who is a practitioner of the craft and a team to push you to work on real-life projects and this is what is the USP of this mentorship.

Marketing, I believe, is a skill that can be learned best only by execution and working on real-world assignments and not the hypothetical case studies given in colleges.

Here’s an example of chatbot flow we built while working on an assignment.

By working in teams on Assignments you will develop the knack of execution and the cherry on top is the Abhinav’s cold emailing guide which you can then use to approach clients by showing them the work you did in the pro-league.

At the end of the mentorship there’s also a real life project that you work hands-on which will help you build a kickass portfolio.

To give you more context here’s my story:

While I was getting more exposure in the field, I started approaching E-commerce brands and did UX audits for brands and soon I landed a client of my own in the fashion niche for whom I do Facebook and email marketing now along with managing social media.

This Pro-league will lead you to a self-exploration path but only if you are committed and curious enough and work.

Nothing in life comes easy and if you think that just by enrolling you will learn marketing, then I have to break the ice for you.

If you don’t work on assignments and take initiative to execute the skills, then don’t bother applying. You’d probably watch a Netflix series then.

But if you want the right direction to approach marketing and then take a self-exploratory, guided path, then this is the best investment you can make at this price point.

Work in teams, ask questions, learn concepts, and have kickass DJ nights to chill out sometimes.

You are in for a ride but it will be worth it in the end because as Steve Jobs says “ All the dots connect looking backwards” and you will thank yourself for taking this leap of faith and committing to learning a valuable skill that will stay with you forever from someone who is a master of his craft.
